About Me

I was born in a small town in Northern Ontario called Kapuskasing meaning "Bend in river".

I am child no. 7 of my mother's and have two younger twin sisters, two years younger. We have a blended family like the Brady Bunch & (I'm Marcia).  I have a total of six sisters and five brothers which makes life extra interesting and sometimes complicated!!  I graduated from Winston Churchill Collegiate in Scarborough, ON and have most recently become a student at Seneca College studying as a Library and Information Technician.

My husband was born in London, England and moved to Canada in the 70's.  My father's side of the family imigrated to Canada from the Netherlands.  I had the pleasure of  visiting his hometown in Leeuwarden a second time last year April/May 2009 during Queen's Day.  It was a amazing to meet and stay with two of my husband's nanny's who reside in Holland now with their spouses.

We have also visited together together such places as Italy, France, Belgium, and many locations in the states including Hawaii.  Of the islands we've been to, St. Lucia is one of the most beautiful islands that we enjoyed so much because of the people!  We found everyone to be genuinely friendly and so hospitable.  We loved the Rainforest Zipline, a most incredible experience.  The Land & Sea tour also taught us much about the island and it's people.  A must see and do experience!   We hope to return again one day and visit Raskassa's Gallery.   M&M
